St. Agnes lies at the most southerly tip of the British Isles. To the southwest, there’s nothing but Bishop Rock Lighthouse and three thousand miles of ocean. Jack Hicks was Mike's Grandfather, the last of the lighthouse keepers from St. Agnes to watch over our islands and the last Trinity House pilot to be put aboard a vessel from a gig.
The Hicks family have run Westward Farm on St. Agnes since at least the 1600s where we still press the choicest apples, ferment and mature our premium dry cider. We then ship the cider barrels to St. Martin’s to be distilled into SC Dogs Scillonian Cider Brandy.
Handcrafted in small batches using pure Scillonian water, aged, and bottled on their farm, the warm mellow notes of SC Dogs Scillonian Cider Brandy will keep out the cold of a wild and stormy night on St. Agnes.
